Baise-Moi revisited

I have been following with amusement the fracas over the film ‘Baise Moi’, led by that redoubtable Australian Attorney-General Daryl (‘with a name like that he’s gotta play for Essendon’) Williams and his band of right-wing gang-busters on the Censorship Board.
The only HONEST Censorship Board of which I have ever heard reigned in Canada in the early seventies. The members of that Board saw a film which they unanimously ruled would ‘deprave and corrupt anyone who saw it’ — and promptly resigned en masse on the grounds that, having seen it, they were no longer competent to make decisions on moral matters! I await the resignation of Daryl, the Censorship Board, and the incorruptible, holier-than-thou cabal of politicians and ‘advisers’.
