Craven Pragmatism

[One of the directors of the industry-based think tank The Institute for Private Enterprise has written an article telling us exactly why we should have been eager to climb aboard Bush's Baghdad Express]
Des Moore’s article A tragedy for us all... (Canberra Times, Monday, 17 May) shows a particularly craven form of pragmatism — “The best way to protect oneself from bullies is to hire a bigger bully …and the safest course for Australia is to suck up to the world’s biggest and only bully, the USA.”
The fact that Mr Moore is a Director of the Institute for Private Enterprise underlines a fact which we’ve known since at least the beginning of the Industrial Revolution — “War is good for business!”
