Religion in Schools
So (ACT Shadow Education Minister) Steve Pratt wants children in government schools to learn about religion in ‘normal’ school hours?
Was this the same Steve Pratt, who, soon after 11 September 2001, got on the radio to exhort us all to support the Bush-Blair-Howard intention to send Australian youth off to die in Afghanistan, in the name of upholding ‘Australian values’ (presumably as espoused so well by Tony ‘Moses’ Abbott - who wanted to lead Australia into the 'promised land' of fee-for-service medicine)?
I’m sure that, as they are lying in an Afghan ditch, or by the side of an Iraqi road, pumping out their brains into the mud or snow, Canberra’s boys and girls will thank Steve Pratt for insisting that they learn the myth of Baby Jesus, who will comfort them in their dying agonies!
