Unholy Trinity, v2.0

Bush, Blair and Howard, the Unholy Trinity who gave you ‘Operation Iraqi Freedom,’ will be replaced by another Unholy Trinity to run a ‘liberated Eye-rack’. They are:
a) Jay Garner, the promised immediate post-war ‘governor’ does not even speak Arabic (or Kurdish.) A retired US General with close ties to Israel’s right-wing political parties — how well will THAT go down in Muslim Iraq? — he is currently ‘on sabbatical’ from SYColeman Industries, a major US armaments manufacturing firm;
b) Ahmed Chalabi, an emigré of monarchist leanings, who has not even lived in Iraq since 1956. Mr Chalabi was sentenced to 22 years in a Jordanian prison for massive bank fraud but escaped to London in the boot of a car. Surprisingly — or perhaps not — this thief is being considered as an economic adviser; and
c) James Woolsey, ex-CIA Chief, who speaks of war as ‘constructive’ and ‘liberating’. He believes that the Invasion of Iraq is the First Act in World War IV (the Cold War was apparently WWIII), which will reshape the world in the image of the USA.
One wonders what sort of deformed ‘democracy’ these three will oversee. But ya gotta trust somebody, and that nice Mr Bush tells us the he has consulted with God on this.
All that Saddam needs to do is physically survive — after several months of ‘benign administration’ by the above three gentlemen, the Iraqi people will be positively salivating for his return

The International Criminal Court

I see that the US government is still twisting and turning in an attempt to wiggle out of signing up to the International Criminal Court. Such antics can only lead to one of two conclusions:
a) Either the USA actually believes itself to be God’s gift to humanity, that its every decision and action carries the ‘odour of sanctity’, and that it is therefore above the rules and conventions which by which it wishes to judge other nations; or
b)The USA has something to hide! Hmmmm … I wonder how many Lieut. William Calleys — military or civilian — there were in Kuwait, Bosnia and Afghanistan?
The good citizens of the USofA doubtless would console themselves with the first conclusion; inhabitants of many other countries may perhaps prefer the second, with its corollary — the biggest BULLIES are also the biggest COWARDS!
